Chelsea have tabled a new bid reportedly worth €93m to Brighton for the transfer of Moisés Caicedo. The Sea Gulls have however, rejected the proposal from the Blues. Words outside of pitch activities claims that Brighton wants more than £80m.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Negotiations are still on between Chelsea and Brighton in what can be registered as a "take it or leave it" situation. While Chelsea FC are generally seen as a Top European team that can afford to pull off such a colossal amount of funds (£100m) for a player with great qualities and potential such as Moises Caicedo, it is unclear if an agreement will be made any time soon.

Brighton wants a Transfer fee that is more than £80m to let Moisés Caicedo leave the club. Todd Burley and his people can do it if they decide to. They are capable of breaking yet another Transfer record.  I believe that's one thing we all, including the Brighton heirachy knows. And that's a very great weapon to have when negoting these type of deals.

Some very reliable sources have also muted that the Chelsea FC are now looking at Romeo Lavia as an alternative to Moises Caicedo. The Southampton midfielder is reportedly available for sale. The St. Mary's outfit is more like to be easier to negotiate with.

Brighton's stance on Moises Caicedo's Transfer

Brighton look like they are more than willing to let Caicedo stay in the team. Surely they need him for their European games. But could still path ways with him for an important fee. Brighton have reportedly rejected a new bid worth €93m from Chelsea for the transfer of Moisés Caicedo. The Sea Gulls wants in excess of £80m from the Blues.

The Brighton manager, De Zerbi again contrary to reports making the rounds on Caicedo said; "I didn’t give my word for anything. At the moment, I haven’t received news that Caicedo can leave tomorrow or in the next week”

The body language of the player indicates that  what he wants currently. The 21 years old midfielder wants the switch to Stamford Bridge, and agreeing personal terms with Chelsea would not be an issue.

The midfielder said in an interview earlier this month that he will be unable to say no to Chelsea.

"Chelsea is a very big team — it’s very historic team and I can’t say no because it’s a very big, historic, beautiful team. The city as well is beautiful!”, Moisés said.

Everyone is waiting to see if Chelsea will decide whether to go back in with an improved bid. Some sources suggests that Chelsea may end up bending to Brighton's wish and coughing up near £100m with add ons to them with the main fee around £80m. However, we are hearing Chelsea will be “disciplined” in the transfer and have other players like Southampton's Romeo Liavia in their list of interests.
